Hi -

I am hoping to come visit Albuquerque sometime this winter for the sole purpose of seeing the rosy finches, so I began planning a trip. I called the Sandia Crest House Restaurant & Gift Shop to get more info on the establishment and learned that it will be closed from December through February.

Those months are prime for rosy finch, so my questions is as follows: How would one go about seeing the finches if the building that provides the feeders will be closed? If I visit, will there be other feeders I can access to see the finches, or will there still be some way to access the feeders at the Sandia Crest House? I just want to make sure that I can still see the birds if I drive out there from Utah. I thank you in advance for your feedback!
