Hoist the flag! The late arrival of the Rosy-Finches this season most certainly relates to the fact that the feeders were not stocked until November 13. It has also been quite warm and dry, and lack of snow cover tends to disperse the birds. These factors also act to delay appearance of the flocks and keep numbers down early in the month.
