The banding team captured 65 rosy-finches this past weekend, including one old bird!

The crew newly banded 3 rosy-finches on Sunday, March 6, 2011: 2 Blacks and 1 Gray-crowned (interior race).
They also had 63 rosy-finches that were recaptures. There were 51 Blacks, 4 Brown-capped, and 8 Gray-crowned (7 interiors and 1 Hepburn's). All but one of these birds were from this season. There was one black that was originally banded in December 2006 and is now a 6 year old.
The road is clear. Snow is melting fast.
