Here is Dave Weaver's latest copy of the rosy-finch sightings log. As he notes, birders seem not to be entering data. Please contribute to the record of observations so that it remains a useful tool. For example, not a single Coastal (Hepburn's) Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch has been seen so far this winter. While they are usually rare, at least 3-5 have been seen in previous seasons. If anyone has seen one, please report directly on this FORUM and Dave will include the observation in the log. Thanks! Ken
Hi Ken,
I went up to the Crest today. It was 20 degrees (F), clear and calm. The road to the top was clear and the parking lots were mostly clear. I have attached a Log update, where you will see that only one person added an observation during the week since I last checked the Log. I plan to go to the Crest again next week.
