Hi Ken,
I went up to the Crest today. At 10:30am it was snowing lightly with a 20+ mph wind and an air temperature of 10 degrees (F). The road was mostly clear until about the 10K parking area, and was icy and snow packed from there to the top. The parking lots were partially cleared and the Highway Department was working on clearing the lots and widening the plowed parts of the road. More snow is expected beginning tonight, although accumulation amounts are uncertain.
I have attached a log update. The finches seem to be increasing slightly in numbers, but flocks still number in the 30 - 40 range.
