Rosy-finches and other birds

From the AZ/NM Bird Board:

Subject: NM: Sandia Crest

There were still plenty of rosy-finches at the Crest House today (200+), including Gray-crowned (interior and Hepburn's), Black, and Brown-capped.  Other birds at the crest included Mountain Chickadee, Red-breasted and White-breasted Nuthatch, Common Raven, Steller's Jay, and Dark-eyed Junco.  I looked for about an hour at the Doc Long picnic area, but could not find any Pygmy Nuthatches, but did add Brown Creeper, Pine Siskin, American Robin, and Townsend's Solitaire.

Thomas P. Archdeacon

"We are different, in essence, from other men.  If you want to
win something, run 100 meters.  If you want to experience
something, run a marathon."
