Thanks, Nancy-- this has been a very busy week of travel for you, and it is wonderful that the team was able to get out this early in the season. Maybe we will see some recaptures next Sunday!

We only caught 3 birds on Saturday and one of those was a repeat White-breasted Nuthatch. We newly banded one Black Rosy-Finch and recaptured a Browned-capped Rosy-Finch that was originally banded in February 2009.
We did see all 3 species but numbers were low. Even so, we saw many banded birds. We are hoping that there will be snow by next week-end. We usually have a higher trapping success when there is snow on the ground.
