Paul reported seeing a color-banded rosy-finch on March 26:
Hello all,
Did Sandia Crest March 26th AM. About 50-75 rosy-finches. All three species seen. Most were banded with 2 unbanded. Did find one with a yellow band on one leg and a the silver metal band on the other leg.
Very fortunate to get one photo with all three species lined up on the railing with heads turned to the right so nice view.
As noted before the windows could do with a cleaning but such nice people up there. The wife and I enjoyed hot chocolate and a sandwich while up there.
The log books looked to have some good data for the previous week.
Thanks so much for the information and help in seeing these three species as lifers.
