Here is Amber's report (MAR 9):
Hi all,
Rosy-Finch banding was much slower. While we did see at least one unbanded Rosy-Finch, we only recaptured 14 Rosy-Finches from this winter season - 9 Gray-crowned (8 interior, and the 1 possible intergrade), 1 Brown-capped, and 4 Blacks. The flock's maximum size was around 30 Rosy-Finches, with several Hepburn's still present.
The weather was clear and warm despite the wind chill factor. The road and parking lot remain clear.
Banding looks good for Sunday right now, but is dependent on how late the Rosy-Finches remain in the Sandias.
