Hello all,

With the snow came Rosy-Finches at the Sandia Crest! Today (2/24) our banding team captured 57 Rosies, including all three species. We newly banded 4 BLACKS, 1 BROWN-CAPPED, and 3 GRAY-CROWNED (Interior). The rest of the birds we captured today were repeats, including 3 BLACKS from previous years.

On the drive down we found 15 CASSIN'S FINCHES in the quaking aspens around 10K Trailhead.
