Nancy Cox of the Rio Grande Bird Research banding team sent this sightings and road conditions report on FEB 13:
Hi Ken,
Jason went up to the Crest House on Wednesday [FEB 12] to refill the feeders. He had two flocks about 20 min apart. The first flock was around 70 birds with all 3 species. The second flock had 25 birds with 23 Gray-crowned and 2 Blacks.
The road was "good most of the way but there are definitely bad spots and the parking lot is bad. Watched 3 separate cars get stuck and then unstuck."
